If you go to the grammar section of these pages, you’ll see a log of all of the issues we have had in our classes. But they don’t all carry the same weight. We want to eliminate them all but we can order them in priority. Here are the first 3 to tackle. It’s a key goal to eliminate these three:
- Word Order – Always make sure there is nothing between verb and object. E.g. We only get
only a small part of the revenue. Watch this online video if you need more detail on the topic and do the exercises. - If Sentences: They are important because they are used to make suggestions and to negotiate. Remember that “if” is never followed by “would” when you are presenting and idea of outlining a condition. Have a look at this video for more detail on that topic.
- Verb + to / Verb + ing : This is the most advanced topic of the three and it is the hardest one to master. Start by watching this video and doing the exercises that follow. After that, you will have more awareness for it.
