Hi Susanne,
Click here to listen back to a summary of today’s lesson and the vocabulary we encountered.
Today in the dialogue, we encountered the use of “though” (aber) which is often used in English to contradict something that someone else says.
For example:
“Hamburg is a lovely city.”
“Yeah. The cost of living is very high, though.“
Have a look at these statements and then think of a contradiction ending in “though”.
If you have any time leftover, always listen back to the summaries of our previous lessons.
Enjoy the bridge day and looking forward to seeing you on Teams Monday week the 9th of October at 10am.
Best regards,
Paul.
